PLUMP UP THE VOLUME

Quick Review- V05 Dry Backcomb Spray...

(Boots- £3.49)

A couple of weeks ago I was fed up with the one side of my hair looking much flatter than the other, so I decided to give this a go. It claims to be a backcomb in a tin, and all I can say is that it definitely lives up to its title! It's pretty inexpensive which is always good, the bottles pink and it adds volume to your hair, what more could you want!?

Personally I would recommend this to anyone who feels their hair is looking a little bit flat and just want that extra volume; it's also really easy to use, you just spray it on to the roots of your hair or wherever you feel you need volume, rub it in with your fingers and then you have beautifully voluminous hair in an instant!

On the plus side your not harming your hair by using this either, whereas if you backcomb your hair with a brush or comb all of the time, your going to seriously damage tour lovely hair, which of course is not good.

Hope this little, quick review helped!

Thank You

September Nail Polish Favourites...

This month I've been rotating between these three nail polishes-

Essie- Cascade Cool
This is just the perfect barbie, pretty pink colour, I love it so much and have been getting alot of use of of it, it lasts on the nail a fair while, and doesnt take to long to dry, I like to paint my nails with 2 coats of this.
Avon- Lemon Sugar
The camera isnt picking up this colour right, its much more of a pastel yellow colour, it might be a bit summery for September but oh well, it applies really nicely too; I usually apply 2 coats of this.
Essie- Fiji
Ahhh my favourite one out if the three, this is just the perfect white/pastel pink colour, I love it so much, I tend to keep adding coats and coats to make the colour pop more even though I don't really need to hehe.

September Make Up Favourites...

Just a few make up favourites from September-

(Sorry for the bad picture quality)

Cosmopolitan eyelash curlers- Superdrug
Not much to say apart from these curl the lashes really well and I love them

Real Techniques Stippling brush- Boots
I use this to blend in my under eye concealer and I adore it; it does the job quick and gives a lovely finish.

Balmi Mint lip balm- Boots
I love this so much, it's such a cool little beauty item, which moisturises the lips really well and is so compact to take anywhere with you; they do them in a few other different flavours which I will definitely be trying out when I run out of this one.

Soap and Glory, Kick Ass Concealer (Light)- Boots
This little pot contains three products in total however at the moment my favourite one and the only one I am using is the super wear face concealer, its a great colour and give a great coverage, I use this on blemishes  redness in my cheeks and over my under eye concealer, I use the Real Techniques stippling brush to dab it in to my skin.

Benefit Erase Paste- Debenhams
This is a great under eye concealer, I put this on before the Soap and Glory concealer and the two mix well together and create great coverage for dark circles under the eye, which unfortunately I have badly and I don't even know why :(

Garnier Eye Roll on Anti Dark Circles- Boots
This is great for when I can't be bothered to put on my other under eye concealers it does a great job, however I do have to re-apply this throughout the day though, but its so quick and easy to do that this doesn't bother me.

I would definitely recommend these products to anyone, trust me you won't be wasting your money :) :)

August Favourites...

Favourite Beauty Products of the Month-

Covergirl Lash Blast Fusion (sorry I cant remember the price I brought this in America last year)-

I brought this in America last year and in all honesty forgot all about it because I had brought the wrong colour (I brought brown/black instead of black), but then re-discovered it this month and I'm so glad I did! I love this it definitely adds more volume than length so I use my Revlon Grow Luscious mascara over the top of it. The brush is plastic and has many bristles, it is quite a large brush and considering I have pretty small eyes, its really easy to use. I am also so glad I brought it in the colour I did; if I lived in America I would definitely re-purchase it again.

V05 Miracle Mist £4.39-

OMG! I love this stuff! It is just simply amazing! It makes your hair smell good enough to eat, it makes it soft and tames frizz, what more can I say, I LOVE it!!! Definitely recommend you go buy this.

Barry M Nail Varnish Blueberry-

This is a beautiful pastel blue colour nail varnish, that just brightens up your nails and make them look amazing! I love this colour and I also love the name! Even though summers practically over (not that we've really had one haha) it doesn't mean we can't have summery nails does it (: (:

Cherry Chapstick Under £2.00-

This is something I have used since I was a little kid, the only bad thing is I personally don't think its as cherry flavoured any more :( But other than that it seriously is the best lip care product ever, I always end up going back to this, its cheap, cheerful, and does the job!

Sorry there's only a few items this month, next month there hopefully should be many more!!

Thank you

Not Going To Re-Purchase!

Seven products I will not be buying again-

Below are some random beauty items that I shall not be re-purchasing as in all honesty they are just not my cup of tea...

Barry M Lipstick- Touch of Magic Green
It claims to change colour due to the alkaline level in your lips, unfortunately the colour for me was a very berry pink/red colour and just did not suit my skin tone at all, to be honest I really don't know why on earth i brought it in the first place???
Collection 2000 Lipstick- Pink Shock (2)
The lipstick is a much brighter pink than the one that shows up on camera, it is basically a very bright neon pink that would just make me look like a Barbie doll if I were to ever where it out, yet again I have no idea what made me buy this???
 Sleek Kajal Eyeliner- Nocturnal
The reason I wouldn't purchase this again is because quite frankly I don't really wear eyeliner that much and this is a massive stick of it, so its going to last me for ages anyway, but also because its not very pigmentated at all :(
 Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer
I know everybody raves about this concealer being amazing but in all honest I have had about 3 tubes of this concealer and at first I really did like it but then it started making my under-eyes look really dry and cakey which obviously I was not a big fan of, therefore this is now going in my bin :(
 Cherry Carmex
A lot of people I know absolutely love Carmex, but I just really can't get into it, I have really dry lips and this just only seemed to make them dryer, so unfortunately this gets a big thumbs down from me :(
 Garnier BB Cream- Light
I'm just going to say it straight at first I thought ooo I really like this, but then when it had dried into my skin it had made me look a slight orange colour and also made me look like I had very oily skin where in reality I have mostly dryer skin /: /:
No7 Colour Calming Primer- Corrects Redness
I brought this because a few months back I had a phase where I was very self-concious about the redness in my cheeks, so one Saturday me and my Mom went to the No7 counter in Boots and the lady recommend this to me, as you can see it is VERY green, it did not make the redness in my cheeks appear reduced and sometimes left a green tint to the skin, which unless your the Hulk is not a very good look, so all I can say is what a waste of money :(

All these opinions are just based on how they worked for me they may be amazing for you but for me they just didn't cut it :(

Beachy Nails?

NOTD-

This is just a quick post to show you my favourite nail polish at the moment...

This bright orange colour (even though the camera doesn't pick up the colour to well) is called 'Beach Party' and it is one of the Headkandi Models Own nail varnishes. It is quite a matte finish, however if you paint a clear coat over it, it will also give off a glossy finish and on the plus side it drives pretty fast too! By the way I am wearing two coats of the polish on the photos.

Previous Blog Post Reviews!

Reviews-

Revlon Colourstay Foundation in Normal/Dry skin in 150 Buff £12.49-

I hate to say this but I really don't like this product, it has a slight hint of shimmer in it which I did not notice before purchasing, I hate any type of glitter/shimmer on my face so I definitely will not be re-buying this product, in my opinion it was a waste of £12.49 :(

Rimmel Wake Me Foundation in 100 Ivory £6.99-

Again this product had way to much shimmer in it and made my face look like a glitter ball and ended up giving this product to a friend of mine. Yet again another waste of money :( Therefore now I do not wear foundation any more!

Rimmel Fix and Protect Pro Primer £4.99-

I have tried this item out a few times now and have to admit it does make your make up stay on all day, however I would not recommend you using this under the eye area as it gives a matte affect and to me I do not like that affect under my eye. I don't really use this product any more, but if I ever need a primer I will definitely use this.

Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara In 001 Blackest Black £9.99-

I used this mascara for a while and must admit I loved it! It made my eye lashes look way better and longer, I wouldn't say it really made my lashes grow but I definitely loved the effect it gave them. I am now trying out a new mascara but I still would really recommend this one!

Two New Cheeky Purchases...

Benefit & Revlon-

I was very happy to finally get my hands on these two products, I had been wanting to buy these two items for a while now, but just kept putting it off and off and today finally gave into temptation! So here they are...

Benefit You Rebel Lite tinted moisturiser £23.50

Revlon Matte Lipstick £7.49

The lovely lady who served me on the Benefit counter today let me try out the tinted moisturiser and I looked the look of it! However I do a proper review on both of these products very soon!

DOES THIS REALLY TREAT ME RIGHT?

V05-

Recently I decided I need to purchase a new deep conditioning hair treatment, so I was browsing around in Boots one day and came across this very eye catching pink packaging.

I had saw this V05 treatment many times before but just never really got around to trying it out, but finally I decided to give it ago, and I am so glad I did! It actually is amazing; naturally my hair is frizzy, dry, curly, wavy, everything but straight! So of course over for a few years now I have been straightening my hair a lot, obviously this has took its toll on my hair and it is now very heat damaged unfortunately. But then I applied this product to it and oh my goodness, I am so glad I did because from the first use my hair has felt much, much better, it feels in much better condition now.

The product it self has a very thick, butter like feel to it which is probably the reason it conditions the hair so well. The smell of this product is just incredible, it just smells like a holiday in a tub, it literally smells good enough to eat! It retails for £4.39 which is just great, I will definitely be repurchasing this when I run out of this tub!

So my question 'Does this really treat me right?' is now answered- it is a definite YES

Thank you for reading!

Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer- Currently £4.99 but usually £6.99

Spot on!

No7 Blemish Defence Serum

This is just a quick review about No7 Beautiful Skin Blemish Defence Serum; I purchased this serum around 2 weeks ago, and all I can say is WOW, I have seen a dramatic appearance in my skin. The packaging is smart, simple and practical, it has a pump, which dispenses the right amount of product you need.

It is very simple and easy to use, all you have to do is apply it onto a clean fresh face (before your moisturiser and make up) morning and night and then just wait a few days and you will see your facial skin improve like there's no tomorrow!

So all in all, I would definitely recommend this product to anyone, especially if you suffer from regular blemishes; it cost £16.00 from boots, but I purchased it for £11.00 because I used one of my £5.00 off No7 voucher's which are floating around at the moment.

Thank you for reading, I hope this review helped you-
